Mariajose19,

If you log onto the website to look at the email, does it show missing there as well? If you're using an iCloud email, it would just be iCloud.com. We shouldn't need to change settings unless your account is a POP account, if you aren't using iCloud your email provider would be the best source of information for the account. You can also use these steps to Verify an email account’s outgoing server in Mail on Mac.

Take care!

Hi Mariajose19,

We see that after updating your macOS to Big Sur you're seeing messages within the inbox being deleted on their own. We have a few questions to gain more details about what's going on, to see how we can help.

-Is this the Mail app on the computer, or are you using a third-party email app?

-Is the affected email account set up for POP or IMAP access? When you open Mail and go to Preferences > Accounts, you should see one of those listed under the account name.

-Is it only one email account affected by this, or multiple accounts? And, what type of accounts are affected? i.e. iCloud, Gmail, etc.

-Can you send and receive email without issue, even though you're seeing this behavior?

When you log into the email account webmail server via your web browser, are you seeing those messages in the inbox disappear as well? Or is everything working fine there?

Take care!
