As I a few days back I was getting my texts on iMessage properly suddenly it stopped. Then I checked my iMessage settings and saw it was only connected to my email ID and then when I added my phone number to it now it shows verifying. It has been more than two days. How can this be resolved ?

First, check to know whether you have an SMS plan enabled at least for One SMS with your carrier. Contact your Carrier (Cellular Service Provider) the agency who issued the SIM to you
If your iPhone is used with a carrier not found in the wireless carrier articles, make sure you can send and receive international SMS. (One SMS Only)
