Can't find Redeem button/link in the App Store

Hi,

I was given a promo code for an App since I could only upgrade it via the App Store but I already purchased an older version years ago through their website.

They told me to follow these steps:


  1. Launch the App Store on your Mac.
  2. Click Redeem at the bottom of any of the App Store main pages. You can also find it in your Account page.
  3. Enter your Apple ID and password when prompted.
  4. Click Sign In.
  5. Enter the Promo code.
  6. Click Redeem.


But I can't find this Redeem thing.

Is it me or is there some problem beyond my control?


My OS is High Sierra 10.13.6

thank you for taking the time to read and reply to my question.


Unfortunately I had already read both those pages but I could not use the code because the link on the Redeem page led me to iTunes and if I opened the App Store manually, I could not find any Redeem button or link as shown in the image because my interface is different and there isn't one (I don't know why). Consequently, the suggested steps in the "can't redeem" page, did not apply to my case.


However, in the end I was able to use the code by using a direct Redeem link someone suggested me elsewhere. This is the link: https://apps.apple.com/redeem/


I wrote all of this in case anyone happens to have a similar issue.


Again, thank you for your time and reply and have a nice weekend too!
