Connect iPad Air to Mac mini with USB-C Charging Cable
Is it possible to connect an iPad Air to a Mac mini using the USB-C charging cable? Can I plug that cable into one of the Thunderbolt ports to transfer content from the computer to the iPad?

When connecting your iPad to your Mac, you’ll be able to transfer data between iPad and Mac using iTunes - or for recent models of Mac, Finder.
You simply need to use the USB cable supplied with your iPad.
