Why is a refund not given for Super Chat used by an 8 year old

I was charged $496.85 for 15 visits to video sites on YouTube. It was called Super Chat and my 8 year old grandson did this in one afternoon without my knowledge. I contacted Apple and they investigated and said it doesn’t qualify for refund. They will give me no other answer to reason. Has anyone else had this issue. I’m retired and that’s a lot of money to lose.

Request a refund I requested a refund about my daughter’s purchase. She purchased something from Discord. Although I set up not to make my daughter, 12 years old, buy anything without my permission. However, she could buy it. Then, the store automatically charge on me monthly. My 12 years old daughter did not know one purchase will be charged every month. No refund for accidentally made inApp Purchase by 7 year old. Im the organiser of my family in icloud family sharing. My 7 year old daughter who made accidentally inApp Purchase in the cokie run kingdom game. You sisnt refund the money. Shame on You apple. Shame on You for robbing kids of Christmas. That was our money for food for week or spending Christmas this year. We too have sufferes from covid pandemic, but thank You for nice Christmas present. Hope You are pleased by stealing money via kids game. On my part all I can do is notify other players and parents about apples new policy. Sisgusted and appauled by You. Enjoy the money stolen from kids family.
