Mail search doesnt give me complete results

I have been struggling with the search feature. I have recently upgraded to Big Sur

When i search a name, any thread with multiple replies from other users doesn't get picked up
when searching a word in the mail subject does not get picked up occasionally and at other times it does

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.14

Amrish,

I've seen this before. It's usually an easy fix.

Open mail
From the top menu bar: Select mailbox
Locate the option to "Rebuild"
