Gift Card Problem

I would like to tell you my situation. I bought a gift card for a friend. I told him to pass me his email for something. Then I bought it and sent it to his email. The thing is that the email was incorrect. Is there a way to fix this or get a refund?

Resend iTunes Gifts - https://support.apple.com/HT201591 - "If you sent an iTunes Gift and your recipient can't find the link to redeem it, you can resend them the gift from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch or your computer. When you resend an iTunes Gift, the recipient will receive another email with a link to redeem the gift."
