Itunes gift

I bought an itunes gift card via the app store, sending it to the correct email address (have sent at least 20 to the same address in the past). No email arrived.

I have then checked my gift history, and have resent the gift several times (it’s now 3 weeks since the gift was first sent) but still no email.

How do I either get the gift to send, or obtain a refund.

thanks

Dear Less

Thanks for your reply, but unfortunately it hasn’t helped. The recipients address is spelt correctly and we have successfully purchased a gift card to this address at least 20 times.

The link you supplied is not helpful. A list of all recent transactions is displayed (including the gift card), but when I select “Request a refund” all of the transactions except my subscriptions to Apple music disappear, and so no refund can be claimed.

I tried to call Apple support, and got put through to an automated line which claimed to be able to interpret full sentences. However, it kept asking me to choose the type of gift card I was talking about, listing itunes as an option; when I said “itunes” (in my non-regional accent), it didn’t understand and kept listing the options.

Any chance of a phone number that puts me through to an actual person? I reported this problem 4 days ago, and am no further forward in resolving a problrm that takes other companies 5 minutes to sort out by phone (it’s taken longer than that to type this post!)

Thanks

Haze

Hello Hazeeh,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! We understand you are encountering some issues with trying to send a Gift Card. We are happy to help provide some guidance.

We want to make sure that the recipients email address is spelled correctly when sending the Gift Card. When you are resending it, is the address spelled correctly? You can see the more information on resending a Gift Card here:

Gift apps, music, movies, and more from Apple

If you want to see about getting a refund, take a look at the steps listed here:

Request a refund for apps or content that you bought from Apple

We hope this information helps!

Cheers.
