cant print to HP 6200 series printer with Big Sur 11.3

I have a M1 Mac Mini which has been OK until I updated to Big Sur 11.3. at this stage i cannot print to my HP 6200 printer. After clicking on "print" the icon appears in the menu bar and then disappears and no printing happens. Printer is listed in the settings system but there is no communication. HELP.
