How can I change the size of the icons on my desktop?
MacBook Air 13″, macOS 10.13
Hi Dialabrain,
It worked! (Of course!) I'm running Big Sur, but the dropdown in the Apple Community didn't list that option, so I clicked High Sierra, my latest OS prior to Big Sur, then clicked Options, two sliders came up, one for size the other for spacing. Done
Thanks for much for your help.
Might I please ask another question? At the same time I unknowingly Increased the size of the Desktop icons, I also managed to 'archive' the folders and docs on the desktop. I'd like to reverse that and Un-archive them. Is there a fix for this as simple as the sizing one? These changes were made during late night 'playing around' with my laptop...when I should have just gone to bed!
Thanks in advance for helping on this one.
John
You're welcome. The only way I know to "Archive" files and folders is to select them, then compress them into an "Archive.zip" file. That wouldn't remove the existing files/folders however. Perhaps you can explain further?
Right/Control click on the Desktop, select "Show View Options". That's assuming you are running High Sierra which is where you posted.
