How can I find a phone that is on find my friends but not hooked up to my icloud find my account and is unable to play sound?

Hello, I have misplaced my iphone in my dorm room. It has a wallet on the back with my ids, and cards, it is imperative that I find all of these items ASAP. Find my iphone is unfortunately not hooked up to my phone, and it is on vibrate. Thankfully, find my friends shows that the device is still in the room-- which is to be expected as this is the last place I saw it. Battery on phone when last in possession no more than an hour and a half ago was around 40%. Any tips on how play a sound or anything to help me locate the device?

iPhone XR, iOS 14

If Find My was not enabled in your AppleID account settings on that phone, then there is no means of remote tracking it. All you can do is physically search for it your self.

Since it’s on vibrate, it is not going to ring although you may still hear it vibrating if it’s on the floor or sitting in something solid? If the battery has run down and it’s off, then it is inert and cannot perform any kind of function.
