i downloaded itunes and it is in German how do i change it to english

With iTunes open Ctrl + , <comma> should show the Preferences dialog box, the leftmost tab is General, the language dropdown is at the bottom of the dialog box. Options 10 through 12 are English (Aus), English (UK), and English (US). The OK button is the second from the right at the bottom. Close iTunes and reopen to apply.

Yeah, I had that link too and then discovered they re-titled it and kind of skimmed over reference to changing language. ;-)

You're welcome. Did you even look at the link I posted? It said pretty much the identical thing.

1. In the iTunes app on your PC, choose Edit > Preferences, then click General.
2. Choose a language from the Language pop-up menu.
3. Exit and reopen iTunes.
