My Big Sur background won't change. I want my background to be The Cliffs but every time I click on the new background, it doesn't change anything. My background stays the same, no matter if I restart I or choose any other background
Could someone help me, please?

Let's have you boot up into safe mode to see if you can change the desktop picture there successfully. Safe mode is a way to start up your Mac so it performs certain checks, repairs, emptying of system cache, and prevents some software from automatically loading. Sometimes safe mode can successfully resolve some issues. With this being said, after testing in safe mode, restart and log in as normal to see if that helps resolve the issue.

Open your Photos library and drag one at random to your Desktop.
Right click (control click) on it and scroll to the bottom of the list.

I can't change it even in safe mode any suggestions, I also tried "set as desktop background" and that didn't work. The solid colors and anything in desktop and screensaver doesn't work either and I don't know why
