Make purchase with a different card in Family Sharing

The solution for this - being able to purchase In-App using my credit card and not my parent's which is the Family Sharing organizer - doesn't work. All over this support site, it says to add value to my Apple ID, however when I go through that process, I still encounter the same block - it asks the organizer to verify or for me to provide the security code for that credit card. There has got to be a solution that actually works, wherein I can use my credit card to either make a payment or add value to my Apple ID.

This is a major flaw if only one card can be used to make purchases or add value...
