How to change billing address in Apple ID for Apple Card (greyed out)?

I use Apple Card as my default payment method in my Apple ID. However, the billing address listed in appleid.apple.com is my old address. Each email I get as a purchase receipt (e.g. in-app purchase) states my old address. The weird thing is that I applied for and received the physical Apple Card when I already moved to my current address. So I don't understand why it would list my old address. And the billing address field is greyed out and cannot be changed. I live in the US if that matters.

I confirm that my Apple Card's billing address in the Wallet App is the correct address. I even tried to update it (by filling the update form with the correct address again). I got a confirmation email, but that did not update the billing address in appleid.apple.com.

I also tried to change my default payment method to a different credit card that I am sure my billing address is correct. This change is reflected in appleid.apple.com after a browser refresh, including the billing address which then shows the correct address (and is not greyed out). However, switching the default payment method back to Apple Card then causes the billing address on appleid.apple.com to show the old address again (and again, greyed out). I use Safari v14.0.3 on BigSur 11.2 on M1 MBP 2020 if that matters.

I think this is an Apple ID bug, and not an Apple Card issue. Does anyone else have this issue? How did you overcome it?

Thanks for your response. The Wallet App on my iPhone is the only place I can check the billing address of Apple Card, which shows the correct one. Is there anywhere else that I can check/change?

If you mean going through iPhone’s Settings -> Apple ID -> Payment & Shipping -> Apple Card... there’s no option for me to check or change my billing address. This is the case only for Apple Card and not other credit cards in my Wallet. The result is the same when doing so through my Mac.

I suspect Apple Card (or Apple ID) assumed my billing address from my Apple ID when I hadn’t update it after my move. This is despite the fact that I provided my current address when I applied for the Apple Card. Hence I think this is a bug because it resulted in unexpected behavior.

I would still appreciate any knowledge as to how to change the billing address so as to fix my issue.
