If you have AppleCare+, then a repair for liquid damage is not free. Apple has repair prices for AppleCare+ accidental damage listed on the website here where it shows a $299 cost for accidental damage for an Apple laptop:

FYI, AppleCare+ does reduce the cost of a repair for accidental damage. While not a free repair it is still sort of covered.
