"No Cell Coverage" draining the battery on my iPad Air 2 with iPadOS 14.4.1

The battery of my iPad Air 2 has been draining pretty quickly for a long time now, with me hardly ever using it. So I took a look at the battery usage and saw this:

My iPad does indeed have Cellular support but I do not have a SIM card inserted and I always keep it in Airplane mode, since I do not need the Cellular support. Moreover I also keep Wi-Fi and Bluetooth off, and I only turn them on as I need them. Mostly Wi-Fi only and very seldom too.

That said... Why did "No Cell Coverage" take up 51% of my battery in the last 10 days and keeps draining my battery pretty much all the time?

Is there any way to prevent this?
