"no cell coverage" is draining my battery.

my battery has recently started draining very fast. in stings I looked at useage and there is a section called "no cell coverage" it is using at least 47% of battery in 24hrs. yes I am in a poor cell area but that is not the problem as there are three identical phones in our home. they do not have this problem nor do they display this "feature" I have asked every apple user I know and nobody has this "no cell coverage" listed in battery settings. please can you tell me how to disable it or better still get rid of it. many thanks

That is a fact of cellular networks. When you are not connected the phone periodically tries to connect to a network; to do that it uses full power, so it uses a lot of energy. The only way to prevent it is to put the phone into Airplane mode when you know you are in a location with no or poor cell service.

In reading the battery screen you posted, note that the 44% shown is 44% of the total energy used, not 44% of the battery. For example, if your battery has used half of its capacity in the past 24 hours (it’s at 50%), then that’s 44% of 50%, or 22% of battery’s capacity.
