Equalizer settings reset on MacOS Music after bluetooth output is connected

Hi everyone!

I have a trouble: I listen Apple Music from my MacBook Pro via bluetooth stereo system. Apple Music equaliser is turned on with some preset. Each time when MacBook is connected to the stereo system I hear default sound preset however when I open Equalizer window 'On' checkbox is enabled and my favourite preset is selected. Each time I have to re-enable 'On' checkbox then preset is applied.

Any ideas or suggestions please?

Environment:

MacBook Pro 13" 2019

MacOS 11.2.2

Apple Music 1.1.3.3

Hello fedorin,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities!

If we understand your post correctly, equalizer presets revert back to the default settings after each song has ended. We're happy to help!

Try the suggestions provided in the article below for help with adjusting the sound quality.

Hello.

Not after each song has ended.

After each connecting MacBook to my bluetooth output. It does not matter is it Sony audio system or Marshall headphones.

  1. Wake up the MacBook
  2. Turn on the audio system. Device is connected as bluetooth output automatically.
  3. Go to Equalizer settings
  4. Turn on the Equalizer and select favorite preset.
  5. Turn on and then Turn off the Equalizer

Sound is default but equaliser turned on and preset is selected
