Can I push shared app content to Family Sharing child device from parent device remotely?

I have created a family sharing group for two little girls that do not live with me. I gave each a new iPad for Christmas set up with educational apps I downloaded on my device, as administrator of the family sharing group, and set apps to share. Each of the kids' iPads are signed in with an Apple ID I created for each child and, once the iPads were set up, I turned on Screen Time restrictions to protect them.

This accomplished having shared apps appear on both of the kids' iPads, but, there is one app that shows on one of the two 'child' iPads under her Apple ID but, for some reason, it does not appear on the the other child's iPad, even though the app is compatible with Family Sharing, and the two iPads were set up exactly the same way.

My question is, is there any way I can remotely add a missing app, from the family shared app pool, to the iPad it is not on, remotely?

I tried following instructions to see shared apps on the kids' devices, but I can't see their devices' content as described. I am not sure if this is meant to be apps the child has asked for permission to download only, or all family shared content?

Thanks in advance for anyone who can make heads or tails of my request and help me out with an answer. I would be happy to provide further information to assist in understanding my request.

Hello fifibanana,

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you'd like to remotely manage an iPad you set up with Family Sharing. We'll be glad to provide guidance.

There isn't an option to remotely manage the iPad itself. You can follow the steps here to help with the app appearing on both iPads: If you don't see your family's shared content

This will explain which purchases can be shared: What types of content can I share with my family?

Finally, make sure sharing is set up correctly: Share App Store, iTunes Store, and Apple Books purchases with Family Sharing

Take care.

fifibanana,

Thank you for trying those steps.

We realize you won't have access to the iPad that cannot download the app for some time. When you do have access, please try signing out of the Apple ID under Settings > [their name] > Media & Purchases. Then sign back in again. This is the next step to help resolve this.

Keep us updated on the result.

Kind regards.

Thank you so much for your reply.

I have read each of the articles you have kindly suggested and not found a solution to my issue.

The application in question is Mashaa and the Bear. It is installed on my (the parent device) iPhone and set to share with both the kids. It appears on one of the kids' iPads but not the other. It shows in its App Store listing to be compatible with Family Sharing. Both iPads are of a generation that allows for the latest iPad OS and have been updated and set up with alike settings.

I have Screen Time set up on both the kids' iPads and no one in the household has the administrator's Apple ID password. So, lest I wait to install it until I visit in person over Easter, which is not ideal since the little one without the app is, Murphy says, the one that needs to use it...

Until then, any further thoughts as to why this anomaly has occurred would be appreciated.
