I keep receiving this error code when trying to update from 14.4 to 14.4.1. Can anyone tell me what this means?

Hello,

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities. We understand you're receiving error 4000 when you attempt to update your iPhone. We'll be glad to assist you.

Before updating, make sure to back up your iPhone first: How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Once that is done, make sure your device is unlocked when you start the update; does that help?

If not, errors when updating with your computer can be resolved with these steps: iOS update and restore errors

If you're still experiencing the same thing, try updating via Wi-Fi. This will help: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Cheers!
