How do I get a newer version of safari on a 2010 mac book pro? It doesn't work anymore.

I have OS X Yosemite 10.10.5, can I get a newer version? It doesn't run the programs I'm trying, and the safari browser won't work.

Safari I have no updates for Safari - but still have an old version of it (13.1.2) on my MacBook Air - anyone know how I can get the latest version? I can't find it in the App Store (and it's not showing as an update in the App Store) and I haven't got a 'Software Update' section in System Preferences? I'm on MacOS High Sierra - version 10.13.6. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Back up your data, check your applications for compatibility, and click on High Sierra.
