Rowing

So, I have been using my rowing machine the past four days, and my watch will not show my rowing activity as exercise. I have recalibrated my watch and have unpaired it and repaired it to no avail, any suggestions?

The Rowing workout is finicky on the Watch. When I do a rowing session, I make sure the Watch is snug against my wrist (not too tight though) and I move the Watch closer to my hand.

Even when I set the Watch so, the BPM is sometimes erratic. It occasionally drops for 10 min or sometimes shows a BPM much larger than actual. I found that this latter issue is related to the number of strokes per min and that the record BPM is actually the sum of the actual BPM plus the number of strokes per min. In any case, I always get my session recorded as exercise.

I would recommend that you make sure the intensity of your workout is enough to record your session as exercise. I haven't done any testing but I'm rather sure that if your maintain a BPM over 110, you should be good. Now, I don't know your age and physical condition so you should talk to your doctor and ask them what would be a good BPM target for you.
