Everything's been fine on my Macbook Air with Catalina 10.15.3. Until today.
The ~/Documents folder is set to sync in iCloud preferences.
But today I find that a file in iCloud/Documents is not seen by FileZilla when it looks in ~/Documents.
It's worked OK for ages. What's happened?

Have you checked to see if the file is actually there?
Try going to System Preferences/iCloud (Apple ID for Catalina or later) and stop syncing by unchecking the box. Wait a couple of minutes, then check syncing. Allow time for the sync to complete. The photos sync is extremely slow. It could take several days or more for the photos to sync..
Last resort - have you tried signing out of iCloud, restarting, and then sign back in?
Thanks. It's all looking OK this morning, without me doing anything.
FileZilla now sees the same file as I see in Finder et al.
I don't understand how it became different yesterday, or indeed how any app can see a different file to any other app.
I'd like to understand, but it doesn't really matter
