macbook pro (15 inch, 2018) doesn't charge properly

Often my MBPro 15 - 2018 identifies itself as connected on Power

Adapter but also identifies battery not charging. Sometimes, the

battery actually does charge, other times it drifts down and the screen goes black.

Any ideas?

Try an SMC Reset.

Try using another USB-C port especially on the other side of the laptop if you have four ports. Even try rotating the connector on the charging cable 180 degrees upside down. This may allow you to continue using the laptop until you can get it repaired.

Make sure you have a good backup while you can still operate the laptop. You will most likely need to have Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider examine the laptop to provide you with a repair estimate.
