can I update to an OS before Big Sur?

I have a macbook pro from mid 2010. Is there a way I can update IOS to something before Big Sur?

MacBook Pro 13″, OS X 10.10

Back up your data, check your applications for compatibility, and click on El Capitan or High Sierra.
