Hello so I got my old iPhone 5 today after I found it in my desk and I wanted to reset the date and time because it said the date was February 3rd so I put my SIM card in and now it says iPhone is disabled try again in 16 years please help

Do you know the passcode to unlock the phone? This happens when you have filled the wrong passcode many times.

It doesn't really matter at this point. Your only option is to restore the phone.
Yes I do I was gonna unlock it but it died so I plugged it in and put my sim card then it said iPhone is disabled try again in 16 years
If it wasn't you, someone else might have tried (many times - hence the 16 years) to unlock the phone that didn't know the passcode, that's how it got disabled.
nobody has the phone was sitting in my desk since I got the iPhone 6 in 2014
