comparing I-Pads

  • what is difference between: iPadOS operating system
  • A10 Fusion chip with M10 motion coprocessor

VS

  • iPadOS 14 operating system
  • A12 Bionic chip with Neural Engine

Or is the

8th Generation I-Pad just better than the 7th?

Yes, of course the 8th gen iPad is an upgrade to the 7th gen iPad. It has a faster processor for sure. Both devices will run iPadOS 14.4.1, which is the current iPadOS version.

The 2020, 8th gen iPad is an upgrade from the 2019, 7th gen iPad.

Its only upgrade is the main processing chip.

It went from the A10 fusion CPU with M10 Motion Coprocessor ( first found in the iPhone 7 over 4 years, ago ) to the A12 Bionic chip with Neural engine ( first found in the 2018 iPad Pro models ).

Everything else about the 2020, 8th gen iPad is exactly the same as the 2019 7th gen iPad.
