Youtube broken on Firefox 14/03/2021

Since emptying my cache/cookies/history Firefox won't load the YouTube website. I've tried disabling extensions but that doesn't fix it, the 2 main ones I use are Disconnect.me and Ublock origin. (both of which are enabled in Chrome and YouTube still loads)

Mac OS version 10.9.5 I cannot update passed this on my 2010 Mac Mini so don't ask!

About Firefox states:

version 78.8.0esr (64-bit)

Firefox is up to date

So the browser is also the latest version!

This is what it looks like when I try to load the page.

Any help greatly appreciated!

Well today, miracle of miracles YouTube is working in Firefox again, so it must have been a YouTube website problem. I went to various website down indicator sites and it wasn't just me having issues recently, lot's of people had issues with the site not loading or if it did load they got endless buffering.

Safari fanboys can suck a phat one! Have a nice day!

Apple Indicates it is compatible with 10.10 Yosemite, 10.11 El Capitan, 10.12 Sierra and 10.13 High Sierra. So your research seems to be wrong, unless its not actually a 2010 Mac mini. And even then, there is no Mac mini that stops at macOS 10.9.5.

Addressing your Firefox problem, if it works on another browser, then outside of changing to that browser, there's not much to do.

Updating your Mac mini to a newer macOs version would get you a newer Firefox version, and likely it would work with Youtube then.

You're kind of missing the point this is a _Firefox_ problem happening on a fully up to date browser. The OS version is nothing to do with the issue as it _was_ working before I deleted all cookies/history/etc. as cache was getting too full.

I've investigated upgrading this Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHZ model and without messing about in terminal following a guide from Dos Dude, this machine will not officially work with anything past 10.9.5 (I swear on me mum!) Not that it matters cos I have a stable working OS install that I'm not planning on updating anyway, it's beside the point!
