Apple, did you remove the "Export Frame to Pictures" feature from Photos? I used this extensively to extract treasured photos/memories from videos. I've been hunting for it everywhere and cannot see it anymore. Please advise why it is gone and/or what is a good workaround? Thank you.

No it won't, and yes, apple have removed the feature. As Yer_Man says, we don't know why.
If you want to extract a frame now, you will have to do it in iMovie - until (and if) Apple decides to re-instate it.

Apple aren't here and no one here knows why Apple does the things they do. This forum is just users like you responding to other users. If you want answers from Apple you need to contact them directly. Shift-Command-4 will allow you to select the area of the screen for a screen grab.
Will a screen grab be anywhere near the resolution and quality of the good old beloved "Export Frame to Pictures" feature from Photos?
