iPhone and Apple Watch 6 text simultaneous notifications.

I need my iPhone 8 text to “ding” at the same time my Apple Watch 6 “dings” an incoming text.

I often can’t hear my Apple Watch ding, even with the highest volume. My iPhone is usually in my back pocket and I used to hear a “ding” go off, before I wore an Apple Watch.

Help?

When I'm wearing my Apple Watch, my iPhone will not alert me that I have a text. I have a I phone 13 pro max and a I Watch series 7. When I am wearing my watch, my phone will not sound an alert that I have a text message, I only get a beep on my watch. I want both to give an audible alert. I have missed texts when I am engrossed and don't notice the vibration/sound on my wrist.
