My iPad (6th gen) has randomly stopped receiving photos sent to me via Messages. My iPhone(synced with the iPad) receives the photos. Just now I received one photo on the iPad, and six photos on the iPhone.

Are you running the latest version of iOS and iPadOS on your devices? You can check for any available updates by going to Settings > General > Software Update. Just be sure to back up your device before completing any updates: How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

It sounds like you are experiencing some issues receiving messages containing photos on your iPad. We can get you pointed in the right direction for support with this.
Are the messages being sent via SMS/MMS or are they iMessages? Does this issue occur with multiple contacts or only particular ones? If this issue only occurs with particular contacts, are the contacts using iMessage or text messages when sending the photos?
If you experience issues receiving any SMS/MMS messages on your iPad, make sure you have forwarding enabled: How to forward SMS/MMS text messages from your iPhone to your iPad, iPod touch or Mac
Also, do you currently use Messages in iCloud on your devices? If you're unsure, you can check by going to Settings > [your name] > iCloud.

Thanks for responding to my question. To answer your questions, in order:
The photos are being sent by one person via iMessages, and by another person via SMS/MMS. I always receive the accompanying text message, just not always the photo. I always receive both the photo and text message on my iPhone, but I estimate that I only receive 50% of the photos on my iPad.
I am using Messages in iCloud.
This is a fairly new problem, starting two to three months ago.

This is my third iPad and my second iPhone. I’m beginning to wish I had my previous devices. This is only one of several frustrations I experience.
