How to split the keyboard

The iPad Split Keyboard feature is not available on iPad Pro models with 11” or 12.9” screens, but remains available to other models of iPad and iPad Pro. All models updated to iPadOS14 also have access to the Floating Keyboard - which can be freely repositioned anywhere within the screen area.

Floating Keyboard:

Use the floating keyboard on your iPad – Apple Support

Split Keyboard:

If your iPad keyboard appears small or is split in half – Apple Support

You can't any longer.

With iPadOS, it is either the full keyboard or the single small, floating mini keyboard, now.
