are there charging pads available for ipads?

No.

No iPads can inductively, wirelessly charge.


To have wireless, inductive charging a device needs to be made of glass of some other non-conducting, non-metallic materials.

iPhones and Watches can wirelessly, inductively charge because these devices are mostly constructed of glass materials and can wirelessly charge through a magnet attach/glued to the non-electrical conducting glass materials.


iPads are have a back chassis made of aluminium that IS electrical conducting and cannot ever be made to wirelessly, inductively charge.

iPads would need to have their back chassis be made of some other type of non-electrical conducting materials for wireless, inductive charging to be possible.


So, hence, no wireless, Qi charging pads for iPads.
