error code 4000
my brand new 8th generation ipad will not down load the update - error code 4000
anyone know what is goin wrong?

Error code 4000 is a bug in iTunes.
- Temporarily disable your phone’s passcode before updating. When you do this, you lose all content and cards in Apple Wallet so you will have to add them back again.

- Downgrade iTunes to version 12.8 on your PC
or
- Update over the air by going to Settings/General/Software Update
