Export calendar from iphone to .ics file to set up protonmail calendar

Hello,

I use Protonmail for my emails. Protonmail has now created a calendar, and I can move all my entries over to Protonmail calendar but have to convert the file to .ics format. The ONLY calendar I use is the app on my iphone called "Calendar." How can I convert the Calendar to .ics format and get it over to my Protonmail? Thanks!

iPhone X, iOS 14

Hey there flammajamma,

We'd like to help export the data in Calendars from your iPhone.

While there's not a way to do it directly from an iPhone, you have two other options:

  1. This first link shows how to export Calendars from iCloud if you have iCloud Calendars enabled on your iPhone: Archive or make copies of the information you store in iCloud Just in case, you'd enable iCloud Calendars within Settings > Your Name > iCloud > Calendars.
  2. This second link shows how to export it from your Mac: Import or export calendars on Mac

Take care!

Hi flammajamma,

We see that the steps to sync your iPhone to iCloud, then sync the same Calendars to your Mac, were provided in the last message.

Not only will iCloud be able to sync any changes from Calendars that you make on either your iPhone and Mac at the same time, but any other content you want to sync together on both devices would be available in the iCloud settings on each of your devices.

From there, you can use the steps in the second link sent to you for exporting your iCloud content(including Calendar).

Cheers.
