Is it possible to use my Mac to delete a large chunk of photos on my iPhone?

Hi, I just finished uploading 7,000 photos from my iPhone to my Mac and I now stored them in folders on a hard disk. My next step would be to use my Mac to delete a large chunk of photos on my iPhone (more visibility and ease of use).

When I connect my iPhone to my Mac I don't see a 'delete' option. Is this even possible?

I don’t know what “device” section you are asking about, but if your iPhone and your Mac both sync to iCloud all of the photos on both platforms will be identical. So if you open the Photos app on your Mac delete photos in the Photos app they will also be deleted from your iPhone. So you can easily select multiple photos in the Photos app on your Mac and delete them and they will also be deleted from your iPhone.
