How do I verify a debit card for Apple Pay using the USAA mobile application? I have called USAA and they insisted that their records show the card has been verified on both my iPhone and my iPad. But, both my devices still show the “verify” button which sends me to the USAA mobile app, but gives me no directions as to what to do next once the app is opened.

I encountered this same problem when I tried to add my USAA card from Apple Wallet. The 'verify' button wouldn't go away. I was able to fix the problem by:
1) Removing the card from my Apple Wallet
2) Adding the card to Apple Wallet directly from the USAA mobile application, instead of from the Apple Wallet application. I followed these instructions from USAA's FAQs ( The question marked "How do I add my USAA card to Apple Pay?")

How to verify a debit card for Apple Pay. USAA says their records indicated the card has been verified, but your devices still show the option to verify it, indicating that it hasn't been verified. We would recommend taking a look at the following support article on adding a card to Apple Pay and what happens if your are not able to do so.

Thank you! I called USAA and usually, their customer service is great, but this time they had no idea what was wrong. I ended up hanging up and doing exactly what you did and it finally worked.
