We bought an iPad several years ago. I want to give it to my little grandson but I can not unlock it because I have no idea what my password was. The screen tells me I have to remove it from my account on my iPhone but that was a couple of iPhones ago!

the serial number of the iPad, make a genius bar
reservation and bring in the receipt, iPad, and government
issued photo ID to Apple and they may assist in resolving the problem.
If the iPad was purchased used or there is no receipt, the AppleID and passcode must be recovered
