How can I get rid of low on memory malware message?

It sounds like you're seeing some sort of scareware pop-up and we want to help.


If this is a Safari pop-up you're seeing, follow the steps to clear your Safari website data, then close and re-open Safari:

Make sure your homepage is set correctly as well:

That may not be malware - depends on how close to filled up your hard drive is. Exactly what is the total capacity of it, how much space have you used, and how much is left available/empty?


You need to maintain a minimum of 10 - 15 GB of empty space at all times in order for the OS and system to function properly. If you fill it up completely, your computer will simply stop working.
