Recently, I have been made aware in several occasions that someone in NJ has or is trying to sign into my Apple ID account. Today, I received an email from Apple ID providing a receipt for an app purchase with my account- I don’t know anything about it! Have I been hacked and what should I do??

You might want to consider changing your password and making sure it is a strong one. You can also add 2 Factor Authentication to your account for more security. If the attempts continue, you might want to consider a name change.
