Word for Mac not functioning properly since Big Sur

Anyone else have problems with their Word apps since change to Big Sur? I find a new problem every week - very odd small things but completely annoying.

I can no longer hold a letter key to get accent marks to appear. My spell check no longer works with one click. And numerous other weird annoyances. Afraid what might happen with Excel, PowerPoint etc.

MS words not working on new Macbook Air I transferred all data fr.om an old Mac to a new one (Macbook Air 2023) and everything seemed to be in order. Yesterday, however, I discovered that MS Word (Office 365) crashes all the time and cannot be used. At first it opens, but when I click on the file and try to write, colored cursor wheel starts spinning and I can't do anything. There is no other option but to force quit Word. This happens to new blank Word fail and to old transferred Word files. I have checked for updates (MS Office programmes are up to date), I reinstalled Word, tried to look guidelines from web and I tried the suggested solutions, but so far nothing has helped to resolve this issue. What would help? On old Mac all Word files work perfectly and with other MS programmes (Excel, PowerPoint) there is no such problem. Please help!

Word for Mac not working since updating to Monterey I have Microsoft Office 365 Personal. Since updating to Monterey, Word will not open. Message 'Microsoft Word.app quit unexpectedly.' Report gobbledegook and sent to Apple, no response. Excel and PP work fine.

Mac check spelling not working The "check spelling while typing" and "correct spelling automatically" options under "Edit"-"Spelling and Grammar" menu cannot be toggled on or off for my Notes, Mail and supposedly some other apps. Normally if I click one of the options, a tick should appear or disappear to the left of the option title. But apparently I cannot toggle on or off these two options for Notes and Mail app at all, i.e. when I click the options nothing would happen, and these two functions would not work for these two apps either. However the check spelling for Pages, Keynotes, Numbers etc and other apps would work normally, and can be toggled on and off. I tried restarting the apps, resetting autocorrect for the whole Mac in System Preferences, restarting the Mac, and tried some Terminal codes from the Internet, but none would work. Apparently I have not encountered a similar situation on the forum either. I'm on MacOS Monterey by the way. This problem has been there for like about a year already. Please help guys. Thanks.
