They are asking if Apple does so (they do if you purchase the Belkin screen protecter, no Genius Bar appointment is needed) why would you ask them how to do it?
Go to YouTube and search for "apple screen protectors on iPhone 12" and you will find several videos showing you how to do this.

How to get this Serviced:
To Apple look into this. Start by contacting Apple***, and request that a Genius Bar Appointment be Reserved. You would take this to your Local Apple Store, during which the battery and all other necessities would be looked at. Note that not all Apple Stores are open at the moment, due to the Coronavirus Pandemic.

Using Screen Protection:
One thing to consider is using Liquid Armor on it. Thing is, I'm not so certain if adding a screen protector would cancel your AppleCare protection for it or not. So, ask Apple Support if placing it on it would cancel AppleCare, prior to placing it on the phone.
