I've been noticing the past couple weeks that I never receive some of my messages. For example my boyfriend or sister will text me in the morning and ill never get it and they'll ask me a few hours later if I did and it says delivered on their end.

Contact your Carrier:
If Messages are not working, then you need to contact your Cellular Provider, as they are the ones who manage the service of messaging.

turn on Lock Screen notifications and banners
