Mac pro 5.1 mid 2010 firmware update on Mojave installer wont shut down

I have High Sierra and metal comtable gpu on my 5.1 mac pro. When trying to upgrade the firmware the Mojave installer constantly asks administrator password in order to add new helper tool and wont ever shut down. I tried to install fress high Sierra from usb, added new administrator account with different icould, reseted the smc and pram.
