Dog Walking Activity

Any news on adding a dog walking activity on Apple Watch- would be so useful as I currently use outdoor walk but as you can appreciate with a puppy they don’t rush - too much to sniff/wee on!! My walk speeds have suffered badly for this

Walk exercise in activity. I use this on my watch nearly every day but i have to also use a third party running app to get credit for the exercise and calories burned because I’m walking a dog. Lots of pauses, starts and stops. How about a dog walkers app so we don’t have to use a third party, gps using, battery gulping app?

Doesn't track my walk I'm a really new Apple Watch 6 user & have a lot to learn, it's quite confusing. One question I have is: when I walk my dogs, I stop frequently because they want to sniff a lot & I also walk somewhat slowly because I'm 78. So the watch doesn't track that walk into my 30 minutes of activity -- can I do anything about that? With my fitbit, I could enter it manually. Thanks. ---Zoe

types of activities on apple watch Dog walking is exercise, but different than an outdoor walk by myself. How do I name that activity?
