Can I track my laps while swimming and listen to music at the same time?

I'm looking for a lap tracker when I swim that I can also listen to music with. Is the Apple Watch a good solution for this? Has anyone done this successfully?

No, you would not be able to track your swimming workouts and listen to music at the same time. Apple Watch is only able to play music through a paired wireless headphones instead of the built-in speaker.

Unless the watch is paired with a pair of waterproof headphones that you intend to wear while swimming, you would not be able to do both at the same time.

Yes, you can still play music while doing a swimming workout through the Workout app. However, whether the watch is able to maintain a Bluetooth connection with your wireless headphones while under water is a different story. You might experience issues with the audio cutting in and out depending on the Bluetooth connection between your watch and headphones.
