Random texts from unknown emails

Does anybody know how I can get rid of random gmails texting me with really random texts? for example i’ll get a text from “****@gamil.com” and the text will be like “ir85uf75ur8o5.nu5ks5lsfdls3.solar?N$p?L$T?m&V$=I$Y?H&Q?L$0&B$0p3”. Does anybody know what this means and how to stop it? i have blocked every person who has texted me like that but i keep getting them, help!

Actually, they do, you just have to escalate the call until you get someone with a clue.

What needs to happen is Verizon needs to make a change on their messaging gateway to block ALL SMS and MMS messages to your number that originate from email addresses instead of phone numbers.

They can do it. Whether you can get them to do it is another question entirely.

Hello CashMeOutsideHowBowDat,

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're running into an issue with spam text messages. Have you tried following the suggestions provided in article, Block, filter, and report messages on iPhone? If not, that's a good place to start.

You may also want to connect with your cellular provider to see if they offer additional tools to assist with this issue.

Best regards.
