Widgets not updating

Hi,

Running iOS 14.4.1 on an iPhone 11 Pro. I noticed that many of the widgets I have on the home page don't automatically update. Specifically, I have a Fitness widget showing my rings on the first page. The rings are static, and don't appear to update often during the day. If I open the Fitness app and then go back to the widget it updates. This seems a little self defeating if I need to open the app to see my latest stats.

I have done a web search and tried flicking my iOS language settings to get a fix, but still not working.
