Thank you for that information. Does this happen with all contacts or only one specific one? Which iOS version are you currently running? Go to Settings > General > About for the version. Did you find any locks or limits set when checking your Settings with the steps in the link above? If you restart the iPhone with the steps in this link, does the issue return? Restart your iPhone
